Merl works with a wide range of clients with diverse needs. IFS therapy is adaptive to all client situations. Clients can be single, married, and even family. All are welcome.
During the pandemic face-to-face visits were difficult. Merl became very adept at online clinical work. Clients have adapted well and using Zoom has become the preferred session style. Face-to-face meeting can be scheduled if preferred.
The IFS model does not believe in and support the concept of clinical pathology and the related coding methods for diagnosis. Merl firmly believes that labeling will create false boxes that inhibit the therapist and client work.
Merl, thank you so much! You helped so many of our guests to deepen the understanding and experience of their spiritual lives. I know these 'teachings' continue to reverberate and expand in the universe. Thank you!!! ❤️😊 You were a steadfast and valued member of the team for so long. It feels like more than only 4 years!

Thank you for helping me through a very difficult traumatic experience this summer. I don’t know what I would have done without your support. I also appreciate the exposure to IFS work. I am confident I will revisit it in the future.
Merl Will-Wallace's counseling and therapeutic skills were instrumental in helping turn my life around. When I met him, I was at one of the lowest points in my life, realizing that I was an addict and needed help. His commitment to helping others through change with a recovery-focused approach has helped me stay clean and sober for several years now. But I am not only surviving, I am thriving! Through his work and it's 12 step synergies, my personal transition has been phenomenal! I can honestly say that my life now is happier and more fulfilling than ever. After my own recovery, I was fortunate enough to also work at the same addiction rehabilitation facility where I met Merl. In this capacity, I have also personally witnessed many other individuals who have been guided through difficult transitions via Merl's heart-felt recovery process-oriented counseling.
In 2020 I lost my husband, mother and father and my closest friend. All of this during a raging Pandemic. I ended up processing these events in isolation. As I was trying to separate and deal with each death, the Universe put Merl Will-Wallace in my path. With his wonderful patience and insight, I have been able to unravel and work with my grief, happiness and exploration of self. His method of therapy encompasses so much of what I believe to be important and integral to personal and spiritual growth.
I highly recommend him, and truly respect him.
Merl provided counseling to me and my wife during a very difficult period in our relationship. His approach was professional, knowledgeable, empathetic, and effective. We both learned a lot about ourselves. Our marriage has survived and is stronger.
I would recommend his services to anyone seeking professional emotional help.
Before I knew Merl, I felt like working with a business coach/consultant would be cost prohibitive and overwhelmingly about the coach's ego. However, Merl has had a huge impact on my results since I have been able to achieve my dream business and get away from the grind of corporate America as a result. This has happened through Merl's unique change framework that has helped me grow personally on the path to a healthier more abundant mindset. What I like best about working with Merl is he deeply cares about me succeeding as demonstrated by his ability to empathize with me as a person and distill ways to move the business forward at the same time.
My husband and I were lucky to have Merl Will-Wallace as our counselor . We had had many years of conflict and confrontation and the COVID restrictions made everything come to a point where we both felt that if we did not seek help our life together would be at an end. It was a tough decision but we are so glad that we did get counseling with Merl. During COVID we could not meet in person and so we used ZOOM. Merl was very patient and assuring . He did not make promises that our lives would be a bed of roses but rather it would be up to us to decide how we wanted it to work out. It was hard work and at times very painful with a lot of soul searching but Merl kept us involved and directed us in a way that we could put our pasts behind and push forward to a better life. He never took sides rather he asked us to do reading and research into what the causes of our conflicts might be.
We have a much stronger marriage now that we understand what makes a good relationship. We are so thankful that Merl was there to guide us through this bump in our relationship. We continue to enjoy the references and articles that Merl introduced to us. We have come a long way and plan to keep working every day to make our lives better and our marriage better.
